Meet at Dronfield Sports Centre, S18 1PD. Free c.p at the end of Farwarter Lane off Gosforth Lane. (NT)

The walk will incorporate the 11 miles of the GH Bert Ward Commemorative walk & info can be found at:
https://www.dronfieldfootpaths.org.uk/ghb-ward-commemorative-walk-audio-trail/ Terrain is variable, sunken tracks, paths, fields, woods quiet road & open moorland.

General Notes

There will be a cafe stop approximately half way at the Longshaw Estate (NT) & for those who would like a pub stop there is the Fox House

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
