Jons Roydon & Bawsey Walk
Sun 12th Feb 2023
Walk Details:
From Roydon c.p we cross Roydon Common National Nature Reserve, then pick up a path that leads us towards Bawsey Country Park & Lakes (an old quarry). There are toilets and refreshments here. We then head out of the park towards Ashwicken, Well Hall and then Grimston, before heading back towards Roydon.
Lunch is likely to be taken at Ashwicken church but will depend on pace and timing.
The terrain is reasonably undulating crossing through heathland, woodland, disused quarries and farmland. Paths are good throughout. Any road walking is done on very quiet lanes.
