Ambergate Railway Station c.p (GBP 1.50 pay and display), Ambergate, Derbyshire DE56 2EN to catch the next train (approximately 08.45) for a 15-minute journey to Matlock, with the current price set at GBP 4.60; less with a railcard

This linear route will begin with coffee and cake or whatever you fancy in Matlock before taking in Pic Tor, High Tor (Giddy Edge optional), Matlock Bath, Scarthin Rock, Cromford Canal (in full) and Fritchley, before dropping back into Ambergate

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
