Wass is a small village on the road between Byland Abbey and Ampleforth. At the cross-roads in Wass, coming from Byland go straight ahead, or from Ampleside turn right, into Wass Bank Road and the car park is a short distance on the right. A third approach is from the A170 to the north in which case the car park will be on your left just after entering the village
