We have been granted permission to walk through the dis-used 825yd Prospect Tunnel, which, although structurally sound has significant shallow mud and water inside. There will be short sections wading in water 2-3 inches deep and pools of deep water are present.. To enter the tunnel all walkers MUST have: A HEAD or HAND TORCH. A minimum of 1 (2 if you prefer) WALKING POLES, and WATERPROOF FOOTWEAR ABOVE THE ANKLE (Wellingtons recommended, over ankle walking boots acceptable). We will walk through the tunnel at the start of the walk, returning to cars to change footwear and leave torches before continuing with the rest of the route. There will be a 45 minute pub lunch stop in Kirkby Overblow. Note a collection for a gift for the landowner will be taken. Sorry but not suitable for dogs
