Welecome to the Home page of the North Yorkshire group of the LDWA.  We are a friendly bunch who gather twice a month to tramp over the moors, dawdle in the dales or even cruise the coast from time to time.  Our emphasis is on sociable walks and our enterprising walk leaders aim to cover the diversity of Yorkshire’s scenery often using little-known paths  Why not give us a try?

Anyone from outside the LDWA is very welcome to join us on any of our social walks that might take your fancy, but if you like us enough to come out with us regularly, you will need to join the LDWA.

And if you fancy having a go at leading a walk, we'd love to hear from you - don’t be shy – we're new to this too!  Drop us a line or contact one of the Committee Members

Looking ahead to next summer we are planning another go at a supported ultra-distance challenge walk, this summer the White Rose Walk, see our programme for further details.  The following link gives more detail of the route.

We look forward to seeing you on our walks.

— Caroline, Roger, Simon, Steph and Teresa.
