Note forwarded from our Chair, Steve Mee:

All

I am sure you have all been keeping an eye on the weather forecast for tomorrow, Sunday 10th, the day of our Christmas festivities. We have a larger number than usual of participants and some good food and games all planned.

It looks most likely that we will have something falling out of the sky upon us and not unusual for our climate we cannot be sure what or how much. Hence we need to remain flexible to meet the needs of the day. Both walks will start as planned, 8:30 longer walk, 9:00 shorter walk. The plan was, and still is, to be back at Lane End to sit down for lunch at 14:00. However we need to remain flexible and we may decide on the day to bring this forward with the walks getting back to the hall slightly earlier.

We are aware some of you may be planning to miss out the walk and come straight to the festivities. If that is your plan it is unlikely that we will be able to contact you on the day to advise you to arrive earlier hence it would be appreciated if you could arrive by 13.30. You may have to chat amongst yourselves if the weather is reasonable and we remain with the original 14:00 plan. For this we apologise.

Well, here is to hoping the weather is not as bad as predicted and we have a good day.

See you all tomorrow.
