About Us Welcome to the website of the North Yorkshire Group of the LDWA. We are a friendly bunch who gather at least twice a month to tramp over the moors, dawdle in the dales or even cruise the coast from time to time. Our emphasis is on sociable walks and our enterprising walk leaders aim to cover the diversity of Yorkshire's scenery often using little-known paths. Why not give us a try. Anyone from outside the LDWA is very welcome to join us on any of our social walks that might take your fancy, but if you like us enough to come out with us regularly, you will need to join the LDWA. News Items Martyn Greaves Legacy - Cleveland Way Bench In collaboration with North York Moors National Park, the Group is proud to have provided a new bench on the Cleveland Way - close to the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre - in memory of Martyn Greaves.
Kilburn Kanter Entries are now closed for the 37th Kilburn Kanter Challenge.
The annual Group Christmas Lunch will be at 1:30 pm on Sunday 6 December at the Fauconberg Arms Hotel in Coxwold. The menu can be viewed here. If you would like to book a place contact Christine Stopford as soon as possible together with your menu choices. Please note your booking is a commitment. Don't forget the Christmas Walk beforehand at 9 am. No booking necessary just turn up.
