London LDWA

London LDWA heads for Essex this Saturday, with our Chair, Peter, leading a circular based on Roydon and taking in the Ways Harcamlow and Hertfordshire and the River Stort towpath. All the details below.

Here's a puff for our Twitter account too. @LondonLDWA now has 118 followers but more are always welcome. Social media enthusiasts - why not give us a follow and tweet your walking news, views and photos?

Could you be LDWA London's new Chair?

Now that our Chair Peter Aylmer is nearing the end of his three-year term, it's time to start thinking about a replacement. Could you be that person? The Chair's main task is to run our committee meetings - about five or six a year - and the AGM. Peter says: "I've thoroughly enjoyed chairing the London group - you're a friendly bunch! - and it's meant a lot to me to serve London during the last three years, with events such as the launch of the Capital Challenge and the Silk River walks to look back on. But now it's time to move on, and I'm only to happy to talk to anyone interested in the role about what it entails."

So to find out more, email Peter at london.chair@ldwa.org.uk or see him on Saturday - he's leading this weekend's group walk.

LDWA London Group Members Survey

What do you need from LDWA London? Do you get what you want, could it be better, and if so how?

A big thank you to everyone who has found time to complete our inaugural members' survey. With over 40 responses already, we are already seeing some clear trends and several interesting ideas.

If you are a primary member and haven't yet completed the survey, we really hope you can find the time to reply - it should only take ten minutes. This is an opportunity for you to have a say in what's going well, what could be better and what the Group does next.

If you are a primary member and have not received the invitation or have any questions about the survey, please contact london@ldwa.org.uk
