Happy Monday, everyone
This week we've got a walk with a difference laid on.
On Sunday (1st of Feb), Jerome will be leading a circular North Downs walk, visiting some less well-known villages in the Downs along the way. But to add a bit of extra interest, his walk will take in a number of villages which figure in his own family tree. So it promises to be a scenically interesting outing with a bit of extra colour thrown in.
If this sounds like your thing, all the details, as usual, are at the bottom of this email.
Also I've been asked by Surrey LDWA to let everyone know that if, Heaven forbid(!), any London members were thinking of joining their "Surrey's Eastern Edge" walk this Saturday then the start point has changed.
Start Hollingbourne stn. Dep Victoria 07.45 Circular walk linking places associated with Peter’s genealogical research but really an excuse to visit villages in the North Downs that haven’t appeared on a recent itinerary. This time Thurnham, Bicknor and Wormshill. Pub lunch in Bredgar
