Qualification
The Conditions of Entry will require that all entrants must:
- be aged 18 years or over on the 2nd June 2012;
- have the skills to navigate and read a map;
- provide evidence of having completed an event of at least 50 miles, or completion of 50 miles of an event of longer than 50 miles, between 1st January 2011 and 30th April 2012.
Events that will be accepted are listed below, up to the date when registration opened (16 October 2011). Events in 2012 are listed below these. Provisional qualifiers in 2012 will now be accepted but you must complete one to walk the event (with a partial refund if you fail to do your qualifier and withdraw).
For online entry, in order to avoid posting of completion evidence, only the event name and an approximate time or position (to resolve any ambiguities of similar names) will need to be input during the online registration process for most of these qualifiers. The completion will be verified by the Games 100 Entries Secretary using results lists from each event. Documented evidence, when entering by post can be a photocopy of a certificate or a results sheet or equivalent, with the applicant's name marked, to be sent by post. A completion of another event not on this list may be accepted at the discretion of the Organisers, depending on the nature of the event, and again evidence of completion should be emailed or posted. Any such events below 50 miles and already accepted as a qualifier are also listed below.
