Hants, W Berkshire
The Way follows the Test Valley from Eling Wharf on the outskirts of Southampton, where it flows into Southampton Water, over lowland farmland and woodland paths continuing along a disused railway line past Romsey, Mottisfont Abbey, Stockbridge, Wherwell and St Mary Bourne, before gradually climbing to Inkpen Beacon on the crest of the chalk downs to meet with the Wayfarer's Walk.
