Rossendale Way
66 km / 41 miles
Gtr Man, Lancs
A high-level route around Bacup, Rawtenstall, Haslingden and Whitworth in the Rossendale Valley, crossing the open moors and farmland of the South Pennines which roughly follows the Rossendale Borough boundary. Although easy to follow, it does need care in poor conditions. The waymarked Weighver's Way (9 miles and on OS mapping) is a linear route from Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, which connects with the Rossendale Way at Healey Dell. See Burnley Way, Crowthorn Rose and Irwell Sculpture Trail.
