The Derbshire Portway was an ancient prehestoric trackway which can be traced from the north of Derbyshire to the edge of Nottingham at Stapleford. This walk follows the route and visits the Hemlock Stone, Dale Abbey, two hermitages, Alport Height, Robin Hood's Stride, a stone circle, several hill forts and Mam Tor on the way.
