Park in Central Matlock Walk starts from the roundabout close to the bridge over the river Derwent

South East end of the Peak District National Park, from Matlock South East to Dethick, West around the Cromford canal back up through Bonsall and on to Matlock. Has got a few ups and downs with possible pub stop

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
