Start from Thixendale church; plenty of parking nearby on the Main Street
The well draining Wolds are often the best walking area after lots of rain. Even so there is bound to be some mud around but this can be reduced by staying mostly fairly high with some walking on little-used roads and tracks.
General Notes
Distance about 17ml; around 2000' asc. There will be a couple of opportunities to shorten the route should conditions deteriorate or we seem to be running out of daylight
