We retrace the original route of our founding fathers inaugural walk exactly 40 years to the day later. Following the southern edge of the NY Moors. Visiting Sproxton, Studford Ring, Wass and Sutton Bank Gliding Club returning back to Helmsley via the Cleveland Way

Free street parking in Helmsley away from Market Square. Members across the LDWA are welcome to join us on this historic walk which ultimately led to the evolution of all the Yorkshire LDWA Groups

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
