Hooton rlwy stn c.p ONE HOUR FROM BOLTON - 50 MILES DIRECTIONS TO START - The best route to the start is to go right to the end of the M56 and onto the A5117. At the first roundabout go right onto the A540. It is 2 miles to the traffic lights and take a right onto A550. After 3 miles go left onto A41 and immediately left again onto B5133. Hooton Station is less than a mile down on the left. Car parking is 80p for the day - if the attendany shows up - which he hasn't for the two recces I've done! PSOTCODE CH66 7NL
General Notes
There is a Costa vending machine in the railway station if you want a coffee or tea when we meet at Hooton. There is a toilet facility half an hour into the walk. Two hours in we reach Parkgate where there is a cafe and toilets. We have picnic tables for lunch about 13:00. We will be calling at a little cafe in Burton at about 3.30pm and will finish the walk before 5.00pm. We have a one mile trek along a country lane - please be extra diligant. Only six cars passed me on the recce. Captain Jack Sparrow will be meeting us in Parkgate!!!!!
