The fold-out colour leaflet describing the Chesterfield Round Walk was written and researched by Rob Haslam, the author and creator of the popular 90-mile White Peak Way long distance path.
The comprehensive route description is accompanied by ordnance survey mapping at a scale of 1:25,000. Bus information and places of interest are included. Each of the six sections is highlighted in a different colour, matching the headings of each section, making it easy to relate map to text.
There are colour photographs by Roger Barnes ARPS from Chesterfield Photographic Society, with liner notes by Rob on wildlife, flora and fauna. John Morris illustrates the leaflet with sepia-toned line drawings, along with short descriptions of places of interest. Also included is a gradient profile produced by Geoff Bell, a section on Walking for Health and an overall map of the route in relation to the town, highlighting bus routes and some of the sights.
It costs £1.50 and is available from Chesterfield Tourist Information, many of the pubs en route, local libraries and direct from Chesterfield Round Walk.
