Wild Yorkshire Way Wessenden Moor Alternative

W Yorkshire

10 km / 6 miles
This alternative follows the current Pennine Way down the Wessenden valley and up over Wessenden Moor, avoiding the boggy and largely pathless trek along the original Pennine Way from Black Hill across Saddleworth Moor on the main route. There's still little civilisation on the track, but it would be an easy diversion from the Wessenden Valley to Marsden to stock up on provisions.
