A route devised by Graham Hoyle of Bristol Ramblers. Starting from the Avon Gorge, the walk takes in the Chew Valley, the Mendips and Cheddar Gorge. From the Somerset Levels the route continues to Glastonbury and the Polden, Quantock and Bredon Hills before crossing Exmoor to Lynton.

Bristol Ramblers' website includes a suggested extension of 30 miles along the South West Coast Path National Trail from Lynton to Croyde Bay.
