A route through varied scenery including riverside, heathland, woodland and downland, taking in Corfe Castle, the Purbeck Hills and the dramatic Dorset coast.

The Purbeck Way West (9 miles and waymarked) leads from West Lulworth to Coombe Keynes with a spur to the A352 near Wareham (excluding the A552 itself).
