North to South Surrey Walk

Slough, Surrey, Windsor & Maidenhead

This route, pioneered by the Surrey group of the LDWA, crosses Surrey's varied countryside from north to south passing Runnymede Memorial and going through Windsor Park and Chobham Common and over Gibbet Hill. The most northerly and southerly points of the Surrey boundary in 1997 are the 'official' start and finish of the route. The route description provides convenient landmarks nearby at the Star and Garter on the Old Bath Road and the Crown and Cushion by Haslemere railway station.
