Gerald Colton Way

Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Gtr London

106 km / 66 miles
This is a 66 mile walk from the South Bank to Wendover in 6 sections. The walk was originally called the Mandela Way because it links the statue of Nelson Mandela outside the Festival Hall to the monument on top of Coombe Hill which commemorates those Buckinghamshire men who died in the Boer War. It passes through several London Parks, including Hyde Park, Regents Park and Hampstead Heath, before exploring the rural areas of south Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. It has been renamed the Gerald Colton Way in honour of a founder member of the Hampstead Ramblers Group who devised the route.
