A circuit never more than five miles or so from the centre of Coventry, it is partly coincident with the Heart of England and Centenary (Warwickshire) Ways and visits a number of villages and hamlets including Stoneleigh, Bubbenhall, Ryton, Wolston, Bretford, Brinklow, Ansty, Barnacle and Corley Moor.

There is a related annual event - the Cyril Bean Annual Challenge - named after the originator of the route.

Parts of the route are affected by HS2 works.
