Named discsCheshire Ways

Cheshire, Warrington

A group of routes covering the terrain north-west of Chester up to the Mersey valley, including Delamere Forest. The Ways comprise the Baker Way (13 miles) Chester - Delamere; Delamere Way (22 miles) Stockton Heath - Frodsham; Eddisbury Way (18 miles) Frodsham - Burwardsley; Longster Trail (11 miles) Helsby - Pipers Ash. They provide links with the Sandstone Trail at Frodsham, with the Baker Way also providing a link with the Marches Way. The North Cheshire Way 113km (70miles) and the South Cheshire Way 55km (34miles) both marked on OS mapping interlink with these routes.

Route descriptions are available in each direction from the Mid-Cheshire Footpath Society.

The Delamere Loop 34km (21miles) is a bridleway route from Marton visiting Delamere Forest, Primrosehill Wood and Little Budworth Country Park with a large part on surfaced roads.
