The Calder Woodland Way is a brand new route (2016) between Brighouse and Walsden that provides a wonderful exploration of the woodland landscapes of the Calder Valley. Though not wooded in its entirety, the walk links many beautiful woods and is pleasantly varied throughout. The Calder Woodland Way can be walked as one long route or broken into a number of sections at further railway stations in between. It passes the stations in Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden and within half a mile of Mytholmroyd station. There is a regular service between these stations on the Caldervale line between Leeds and Manchester. On Sundays, you will need to change in Halifax to go between Sowerby Bridge and Brighouse however. There are also bus services at Elland, Luddenden Foot and Eastwood.
