Trent Valley Way

Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire

Devised to celebrate the Centenary of Nottinghamshire County Council, the Way follows the River Trent to the confluence with the Chesterfield Canal.

Though keeping close to the river for the most part, it leaves occasionally, exploring notable features in the wider valley. The route passes through Nottingham and Newark, besides numerous smaller places with interesting churches, watermills and windmills. After Littleborough the route leaves the river in a westerly loop around Gainsborough.

Between Shaw Bridge (SK738920) and the finish it is coincident with the Cuckoo Way.
