Hampshire, Wiltshire

43 km / 27 miles
Named after Clarendon Park on the eastern edge of Salisbury, the Way links that city on the River Avon with Winchester on the River Itchen. Crossing the River Test at Kings Somborne, the scenery ranges from the water meadows of the valleys with their charming villages through woodlands to chalk downs with their fine views.

Strider News - August 2020 (Route Diversions)

Part of the route of this waymarked path between Salisbury and Winchester has been changed. Wiltshire County Council have advised that there are two parts of the route between Pitton and Middle Winterslow where the steep escarpments and the condition of the ground make it unsuitable for a promoted path. The LDWA GPX files have been amended to reflect these changes but at the time of writing (February 2020), the Ordnance Survey records have not yet been amended.
