While walking the Dovedale Dipper last weekend 02/08/2009 with Christine Pendlebury, along the river a couple of miles from the finish a dog was chasing two sheep around the hill side, taking no notice of the owner who was shouting to the dog to come back down, one sheep just gave up in the end and laid down exhausted. The dog was eventually caught and got under controll. Although i do not agree that all dogs should be banned from all LDWA events, (why should all dogs be banned because of one dog)it does bring home the importance that dogs must under controll at all times. (THE OWNER OF THE DOG WAS NOT WITH A WALKER ON THE DOVEDALE DIPPER)
