Hi Jane, do have a read of Reg Kingston's article in December Strider 2008 page 15 which may help. Best wishes. John

Much to my disappointment I developed the so called 'Leaning Syndrome' at about 60 miles on the Wessex 100 (My first 100). It got so bad that I was veering uncontrollably to the left every few yards, (luckily there were no steep cliffs) and was forced to retire at 72 miles. I know that quite a few walkers have suffered this malady. Any advice? Will I get it again? Jane
