Apologies to those people who were looking forward to a free pint after the walk, Woods Brewery promised us a barrel, unfortunately I forgot to pick it up! How bad is that?

Hi Philip, thanks for the results and the wonderful event. Sorry about not stating where each of the photos were taken as I had no means of making a note. Looking forward to next year.

PS -it's Artie most of the time (short for Arthur)

Thanks
Artie

What a wonderful day we had on the Wistanstow Walk on Saturday 13th September. The weather was just right, not too hot and lovely blue skies. The 26 miles were fairly hard going with some muddy tracks, due to the heavy rain earlier in the week, and steep muddy hills where we had to be a bit careful. There were lots of different landscapes to enjoy and we only got lost a few times due to chatting too much and following others with the hope that they knew where they were going - as usual. We took turns in getting lost this time.

The food stops had just the right type of treats - chocolate fingers, cakes and soft drinks. The final meal, lasagne and a cup of tea, was excellent and made a very good end to an enjoyable day. Thank you to all concerned in the organising of the walk.

Some pictures to show how good the weather was that day:
