Just got back from 10 days in Germany with the MX-5 Club.

Lots of road signs warning of walkers and lots of walkers designated carparks. The downside seems to be the amount of trees. The hillsides in the Saarland, Rhine and Eifel regions we visited were covered. Cheap beer and food though, enjoy.

Has anyone experience of walking in Germany? We'll be off there late this summer - flying into Berlin and flying out of Geneva. With eight days to fill and public transport to employ, including a mandatory stop in Bodensee to visit folks, I now have to start the planning and am not really clued-up on the walking delights Germany has to offer.

http://www.wanderbares-deutschland.de/ is an excellent site, but is all in German.

Any pointers gratefully received. - Garfield
