Linear walk of 40m, for which there is a coach to the start. Well organised, some food and drink, mainly sweet stuff so needed to carry some savouries, but well supported as far as liquids.

For those of you who have not walked the ridgeway before, it is a little tedious after 40m, but great for the navigationally challenged, and a fabulous event for runners and minimal navigation required and lots of drink stations.

Only gripe was a checkpointer who took exception to the use of a GPS at checkpoint 4 - a fellow runner asked what mileage we had on our GPS, the checkpointer overheard and became rather dictatorial about the fact they aren't accurate etc etc which really took me aback as I really didn't expect an altercation at a checkpoint.

Despite this, we had an enjoyable day and would recommend this walk for a good mile muncher and perhaps conditioning for the 100.
