Just received my August 2007 Strider and notice that the 2009 Hundred will start and finish at Alton in Hampshire. Any chance of any more details about the proposed route? Will it include the New Forest for instance?

Every LDWA 100 is well organised, picturesque and enjoyable (even when it is raining hard in the middle of the second night...) But with the involvement of the excellent groups mentioned, I am certain that the 2009 hiundrev will exceed all expectations

If Surrey is involved, it's got to be!

I understand that the organisers of the 2009 100mile challenge Walk are claiming that it will be the best organised, most picturesque and most enjoyable of any 100 EVER?

Is this true?

Brian,
The Wessex and Sussex Groups supported by Surrey are proposing to organise a 100 event in the South in May 2009. We have set up a 100 committee and are researching a route starting in Alton, Hants which will include the South Downs. More information will be available in due course!

Can someone please tell me where the 100 will be in 2009? I can find nothing in Strider. Thanks for your help.
