Those of you who walked or ran the Corvedale Cake Walk last year know how much the event depends on the wonderful group of helpers and marshals from the Churches at Holdgate and Eaton. They bake cakes and scones, serve teas and coffees, look after blisters and wash up after you. While you are enjoying the fresh air they are confined to a village hall or Church in close proximity to each other and to all of you as you pass through. Some are elderly, some have other health issues. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic we simply cannot ask them to run the risk that the virus potentially poses.

We have therefore decided that the Event will be postponed to the 26th September 2020. We hope this allows enough time for the situation to change for the better.

Current entrants have 3 options

1. Transfer to the new date of 26th September 2020

2. Donate your entry fee to Holdgate and Eaton Churches

3. Receive a full refund. This will be made back to the credit/debit card you made the original entry with within the next four weeks

We are asking all entrants to make their choices within the next 10 days - if you want to transfer your entry to the new date there is nothing you need to do. Otherwise you should log in and follow the instructions on Sientries. Entries are currently suspended to sort this out but will reopen on the 27th March. We are very grateful to Sientries who have waived their usual fee on making refunds.
