Simon, just to clarify that there is NO need for you to do anything here.

We, the organisers, already know how many people have paid their £10 to travel from Dover by coach on the Saturday morning, and will therefore be depositing their Finish Bag in Dover. By deduction, we have therefore calculated a maximum number needing to deposit their Finish Bag at Hastings, and we have catered for this (I say maximum, as some Entrants will no doubt be accompanied by family/friends ‘throughout’ the event and will not be needing the Finish Bag service).

But, as Peter has said, all Entrants will receive both Breakfast and Finish tags/labels regardless.

All entrants will be sent two luggage labels whether they'll be using them or not. Excessive use of luggage labels yes but a huge saving in administrative angst and avoidance of error in not sending one or two where they're needed. Just remember to tie them on your bags before arriving at Hastings or Duke of York's School.

The rules for the CP100 say this about people travelling independently to the start and needing a bag transported to the finish:

10.6 Entrants travelling independently to Hastings may deposit an additional bag of reasonable size and weight, labelled with the entrant’s walk number, in the area provided at Sussex Coast College. The bag will be taken to Walk HQ for collection at the finish. A numbered tag will be supplied to those notifying an intention to use this service.

Does this mean notification needs to be given in advance? Is there a mechanism for doing this other than directly emailing one of the possibly harassed organisers?
