Anquet now do an updated version of OMN where you pay a subscription. There are varous levels but the £32 pa by direct debit gets updated every quarter. This compares with the OS £20 pa but with different frills. The OS has less functionality but has aerial views.
Improvements include a different layout so you get more map on the screen and when you import a GPX file the map moves to the right location without any effort from user.
One bad change: On the old version you can freehand draw your planned route which I find very convenient. But many had complained abouthe large gpx file resuting from this so now you have to keep clicking in waypoints as with other products. However, people have been saying they like the old system and an update will be provided sometime so you can have either the old or new system
You can keep your old version and draw your route, and then save it and import to the new mapping so you have it on an up-to-date map.
