The finishing times are here.

We’re really grateful to the 36 people who cancelled their entry before the event, which meant that everyone on the waiting list was offered a place and we “only” had 33 (11%) no-shows.

Only one item, a compass, was left behind - please contact bbn-sswalks@ldwa.org.uk to claim.

We currently have 141 entries for the Shuffle on Sunday 19th November. Even with an entry limit of 300, we always fill up before entries close, this year on 11th November. We don’t take entries on the day, entries are not transferable and we don’t have a waiting list.

Given that entries opened on 29th December 2016, everyone has plenty of time to enter and yet Mike always gets phone calls, after entries have closed, from people “desperate” to enter, often because their friends have entered.

So, please don’t leave it until the last minute to enter and please remind your friends to enter.

Also, if you’ve entered but know you’re not going to turn up, please cancel your entry before 11th November so that it can be used by someone else. We had 70 non-starters on Step Step last year and I doubt if all those were last minute decisions. I know we won’t be out of pocket, but it’s no fun for the organisers when 23% of entries don’t let us know and just don’t turn up...and please don’t blame the runners, it’s pretty even between runners and walkers.

AND we have beer from Malt the Brewery to go with your soup and bread at the end.
