I am the organizer for a walking group based on the Wirral set up to walk long distance paths in 10 to 12 mile sections and we are seeking new members. So although we share The LDWA philosophy in part we clearly do not have the same endurance element in respect of daily mileages. We have been in existence for 20 years and have completed many trails of various lengths for example Ribble Way, Pennine Way, Sandstone Trail, Dee Way. We hire a coach to take us to the start of each section and pick us up at the end. We are currently doing the North Wales Pilgrim's Way and will then be starting a new trail The Thomas Pennant Trail. If you are Wirral / Chester based and are interested in knowing more please contact me via email address lamprell@talktalk.net .
