Hello Freddy

thanks for your comments.

I must say I really enjoyed the Lyke Wake - such a mix of drama and remoteness - and of course ending a walk on the coast seems like a great reward for hard days walk.

I think I will have to do it again next year perhaps with some other folk, maybe even attempt a double crossing and walk back the next day :)

I did the first half of the coast to coast with my two teenagers this year - as far as Kirkby Stephen - looking forward to doing the other half with them in the spring too :)

I am on "Rudolph's romp" this weekend - and wearing my silly antlers I got from poundworld :)

Cheers
Richard

Hi Folks

I recently completed the Lyke Wake Walk - The Batty Way!!
I turned the walk in a nice two day circular.

I blogged the walk here - with some nice picks and GPX route file :

The Lyke Wake Walk and The Batty Way

Hope you enjoy the read :)

Richard
