My first challenge walk of the year. Weather gods were kind but rain in week beforehand made for a few boggy sections near Round Hill. Nice to be out again, smiling faces at the checkpoints and good company. Thanks Nidderdale group

We are grafteful to Mike Rayner for noting the closure of the A1 affecting those who will be travelling from the North and have added a note on the Blubberhouses 25 Entries 2015 page of our Group website. We have also updated the link to the route description on this page so that it brings up the 2014 version (we had inadvertently had a link to the superseded 2013 description).

For those of us travelling from the north on Sunday 29 March, the A1 is completely closed south of Scotch Corner that day. The closure will start at 5pm Saturday 28 March and end at 11pm Sunday 29 March. Travellers from the North East will be diverted via A689, A19 and A168. Northbound drivers will be diverted off the A1 at junction 49 (A168) and will rejoin at junction 60 (A689).

Please give yourself a bit more time to get to the event - it's worth it.
