The Man Who Hated Walking
Have just read the book “The Man Who Hated Walking,” (307 pages) an account of his continuous walking of the 650 miles South West Coast Path (SWCP) by the charismatic, very intelligent and zany Rock God Overend Watts, the bass guitarist with 70’s Mott the (All the Young Dudes) Hoople. Overend was a late convert to long distance walking but now is eligible for the LDWA Gold Trails Register and has backpacked a 1250 miles LEJOG. Choosing, at 55 years old, the SWCP for his first National Trail was a huge challenge and the reader shares the good times and bad, with him in this laugh out loud, real page turner and detailed book. The kit list is to die for! Available from Amazon where it has really great reviews.
