Hi Tony
Could not agree more about how wonderful is Jim's achievement. But should your post be entitled The USA Triple Crown of Hiking. I woder what LDWA members would suggest as the UK Triple Crown of Backpacking ? Mine would have to be a LEJOG, the Pennine Way and a Coast to Coast.

Many congratulations to Jim "Milky" Bispham who joined the exclusive group of around 200 people who have completed the US big three, The Pacific Crest Trail, The Continental Divide Trail and The Appalachian Trail, 7900 miles in total. Jim completed the AT on Mount Katahdin in Maine on his 60th birthday in July.
