Look at Arcteryx Delta. Expensive but very light as a mid-layer and a very good base layer in wet or cold conditions. Changed into one in the 100 when a merino top got saturated and it was much warmer, dryer and better-wicking. Very similar in construction (and same price) as Paramo Grid Technic, sold as a base layer but just as good as an ultralight mid layer. Either fits easily into Osprey 11litre bag, so they compress to a very small size. Both last for years and survive multiple washes (and don't get nibbled by moths, unlike merino alternatives)!

Just wondering if anybody has come across a lightweight packaway fleece like the packaway jackets that can be tucked away in a small rucksack . It's for use on long challenge events if needed later in the day

Thanks

Mark
