As you may have seen from the LDWA news item, the Woodhall Bridge re-opened on April 2, 2015 and so the Ebor Way and White Rose Way are viable once again. The repair work is not yet finished, but the bridge is now officially safe to cross. A big well done to East Keswick parish council who have persistently raised the issue of the closed bridge, and take much credit for driving the two councils concerned (North Yorkshire County Council and Leeds Unitary Authority) to get the bridge repaired. Have Yorkshire councils have been too busy making their world cycle friendly for the Tour de France to concentrate on their obligations of maintaining rights of way?

Beware the Woodhall Bridge, on the Ebor Way between Harewood and Wetherby is shut "Due to Danger of Collapse". The alternatives are either a significant detour, or involve walking along a busy A road. Suspect the bridge will bo closed for some time. It is fenced off, but it looks lke a number of people have taken it upon theselves to cross anyway.
