I'm walking The Ribble Way in June with my partner & our dog. We are taking the tent and hope to camp along the way. I can't see many campsites on route on the maps and there are only three mentioned in the guide book, non of which are close to the beginning of the walk.

Can anyone recommend places to camp (wild camping or campsites) between Preston and Ribchester? Or anywhere along the way for that matter :-)

I'd also like to hear about other people experiences of their walk along The Ribble Way.
