Hi Richard
You could use the fife coastal path from the forth road bridge to the Tay bridge or the st Andrews way which connects Edinburgh to St Andrews. I have recently (July) walked the Fife coastal path and although parts are a bit urban most of it is good coast walking with several opportunities for accommodation. Will be happy to talk to you on my return from holiday number in Strider. Good luck
John
See the ldwa site for details of St Andrews Way.
