I would like to enter this event but need a partner. Is anyone interested in doubling up?

I would like to run/jog it in 5-6 hours, dependent on conditions and partners speed. I am not a slave driver so do not think I will be pushing you out of your comform zone if you are slower than me. Similarly, if you are faster than me, you will have to slow down. I have my own transport, live in West Yorkshire and have reasonable navigation skills.

I echo Mike's sentiments. Although injury now prevents me from participating I have enjoyed many memorable Tandems. Tales that will be retold for a very long time. Sincere thanks to the Cleveland Group for umpteen years of comradeship and providing the opportunity for a great deal of fun.

Just seen the news item that the 2011 Tandem will be the last organised by the Cleveland Group. I hope that some other group will pick this one up and keep it going. The event is always well supported and is a credit to the group. January just won't be January without seeing the welcoming lights of Goathland at the finish
