This is a real classic and deserves to be much better known. The 30-mile route is tough, with over 6500 ft ascent as it undulates over the foothills and ridges of the Clwyds AONB. The weather was glorious as we set off, but by lunch it had become grey and then the rain set-in and never stopped. Bedraggled supporters still kept the food dry and appetising and the usual array of home-made cakes was wonderful - the bread-pudding being like rocket fuel!
Thanks to everyone involved in putting this gem of an event on each year. A grand-day out! (Garfield)

A really excellent event again - despite the rain!
Great flapjack and really friendly volunteers at the checkpoints - and the kit-kat at the top of Pot Holes Crag really hit the spot!

Managed my fastest time yet on the 30mile route - despite having a heavy head cold!

Thanks - and see you again next year for my 4th attempt!
